CALLING ALL FILMMAKERS, ARTISTS, WRITERS, PHOTOGRAPHERS, STORYTELLERS AND ART ENTHUSIASTS!!!

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN MAKING A FILM WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN MUSEUM OF ART?

UMMA is looking for individuals with various levels of expertise—from novice to advanced—to create short videos about works of art in the Museum’s collection to be made available to the public in our galleries and on the award-winning UMMA DialogTable next spring. 

Lead by filmmaker and former executive director of the Ann Arbor Film Festival, Donald Harrison, and writer, producer, director, sound and motion designer, and freelance filmmaker Sharad Patel, each participant will receive access to tools and training as well as an honorarium for their completed movie. This intensive workshop will include four Saturday morning sessions from November through mid-December, 2012, followed by on-location shooting and periodic class meetings in January and February, 2013.

12 to 16 participants will be selected through a competitive application process. The deadline to apply is October 25, 2012. Participants will be notified of their selection by November 2. Click HERE for details and to apply.
